I hope everyone is holding up, I know that I am having some good and really bad days with this Coronavirus scare and I am in no way in the worst situation, my heart goes out to those in worst effected areas such as Italy, Spain,, New York and Washington. I will try to keep my political opinions to myself, but I just don't like the way this is being handled. We need to think long term for the health of our nations. Please stay safe and think of others that are in greater danger. Listen to the experts who know what they are talking about. Take care of yourselves and try to find small victories. I will try to stay in touch as much as possible. If the majority of our league wants to get on and do some lotteries I am open to it.
I would like to announce that JD (Los Cubes) and Tom (Buzzer Beaters) are going to fill 2 vacancies from the 2nd tier once we are back up and running congratulations to the both of you! JD ended up with the best record in dominating fashion and Tom improved the team that he took over the most from last year and also had the 2nd best record in a very close race for 2nd. I have really enjoyed the competition this year and am hopeful we will be as strong as ever once we return. If you need some support please join the group chat for all my leagues on Groupme. If you are interested, send me a message, preferably also on Groupme. Hang in there everyone and thanks for sticking with this league!

I will be doing some Call ups this year from the 3rd to 2nd tier. One of the things I have been looking at is how to judge new owners in the 3rd tier when assessing who I am looking to call up to the 2nd tier. I think I have found a method which really helps judge an owners ability to improve their team and I call it average category rank improvement. Here is an example: So in the example, Team 2 improved categories by an average of 7.11 from the previous owner. This was taken from actual results. This team was ranked 4th in the league. So one of the main things you should take from this example is that you don't have to take over the best team to move up in my leagues, improving a team is just as valuable to me, if not more in this format. |
